In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Raw Beauty

Here's another local food goodie, Smart Monkey. At least they used to be local. I can't really tell if they still are. As far as I know you can get these goodies all over the West Coast. They're gluten-free, sugar-free, vegan, raw, and they're delicious. I've been watching Ani Phyo's "cooking classes" on You Tube. So far each one has been under five minutes! Everything looks scrumptious and easy to make. I intend to try some of her recipes—as soon as I get some sleep. (No more chocolate an hour before I'm supposed to go to sleep.)

The thing about raw food is that they depend a great deal on nuts and seeds. I don't do well with nuts and seeds. At least herstorically. I have started soaking everything, however: beans, grains, and nuts. We'll see if this changes how nuts and I get along.

Time to go and find some raw sleep...
