In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Frustrated & Appalled 

Listening to these politicians and talking heads go on and on about how we're a Christian nation and everyone must put their hand on a bible while swearing to uphold the Constitution has been maddening. Haven't they heard of separation of church and state? But I've ranted before about the topic of PDR (public display of religion), so I'll just link to The Irritation, a published rant on religion from a couple of years ago.
