In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

The Verdict
We'll see what happens. Guess it'll mean a break from writing however. *sigh*
I thought all these problems were history...Now it's a mystery.

"Salt water is the cure for everything: sweat, tears and the sea"---Isaak Dineson
Being a nurse that has recurrent sinus problems, I wonder if you routinely irrigate your sinuses with salt water? That's the only way I can keep the infections at bay without antibiotics. Irrigation flushes out the bacteria, which decreases infection, which keeps the tissues from being irritated. I don't know for a fact that polyps grow more frequently in irritated tissue--but I do know that in general growths and tissue changes do happen more frequently in areas that are irritated or infected. Sometimes I still need meds, but it has been rare since I started the saline irrigations. You may need the polyps removed again, but maybe you could keep them at bay with a simple mermaid cure...

Thanks, both of you. I hadn't seen that Isaak Dineson quote. That's great! Thanks for the Faery wishes, Michelle. I do irrigate two to three times a day, Sister DragonSong Mermaid. I had cut back to two times. Now I'm going to three times. "Salt water is the cure for everything..." Hmmm. Maybe I need a really good cry. Or a trip to the ocean.
Take care.

I don't know what the Old Mermaids would do, but I bet I know what you'll do. You'll gather all the information you can from the specialists (including Deb), sort out what they tell you and make your decision. Then, as you say, we'll see what happens. Best wishes for a more permanent solution.
Very sorry to hear that. Only platitudes come to mind, but sometimes, they're right: be patient, be hopeful, cry a little, and repeat as needed. Here's hoping for good news to follow.

Thanks, Will and Kevin. That's what I did, Kevin. After I calmed down, I talked with the naturopath, then went to my MD. They both thought I could wait a bit and see if some integrative medicine would work before the "big guns" are brought out. Give peace a chance, baby! So off I go. I have to stick to my program and my practice. I keep letting these big waves (like Linda's death) overwhelm me. So here's me trying again! Ain't the end of the world.

Hi Kimana:
Well, that sucks, doesn't it--but the news from the naturopath is very heartening.

Thanks Pamela & Patricia! Big hugs.

Oh dear, I was so hoping that these trials and tribulations were over for you, Kim. Healing thoughts are flowing your way. Love and BB, Cate

Yep, Cate. I'm going with the flow...and watching out for waterfalls. You know how that goes. Hope you're well, darlin'! Thanks.
