In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Living Life

Sandra Ingerman quotes this Haitian proverb, "The gods won’t appear, the magic won’t happen, if we are not living our real life. Studying life is not living life and therefore has no magic."

Good reminder for people like me who are always trying to figure things out. 4 comments

Good morning Kim, and thank you for sharing Sandra Ingerman's work with us today - I needed it too. I call it "engineer's disease" or sometimes monkey brain - I am always trying to work things out when I should just LET THINGS GO.

Oh, but to just live your life unconsciously is the polar opposite crime of omission. It takes a balance--experience the moment, then reflect; ponder the issue then act. It is a world of duality and to get the most out of our lives we need to embrace that duality. Life is too complex to embrace the same way every morning.I for one do not want to have my life bored with me!

This is good medicine for me - thank you. I'm always trying to figure things out first, so I can feel in control and be sure to do the right thing. I've also tried to use my mind and will to force myself into the kind of life I thought I should have. I'm only begining to learn about living the life I'm meant to have, my true life, as it were.
