In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

COTOM pics 

I got my second Old Mermaid today. She is spectacular! We're taking pics of her for a project I'm doing. Here are a couple of them.

Yes, I will eventually take a pic of her without the sign, so you can see her beautiful fingers. There are 13 shells in her little basket.

"Old Mermaids don't die; they just swim away..."

Mary, the woman who sold me this mermaids, said something like that—made it up on the spot as I told her about the Church of the Old Mermaids. She has the Old Mermaids coursing through her blood for certain.
