In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

In Sickness...

Theriomorph has a wonderful essay, In Sickness and In Health, on her blog yesterday. I'm so impressed with her and her writing. I'm starting to think of her as my much younger twin sister since our sensibilities are so similar. (Yes, it all comes back to me. And yes, it would be possible in some science fiction tale that we could be twins separated by many years...) 1 comments

Many thanks, Kim, and the feeling's mutual - you & Mario make my spirit happy with your lovely presences and words. It's a marvel how the internet can allow people to find kindred sorts around the globe, isn't it?
