In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Update: COTOM

I've put the first twenty pages of Church of the Old Mermaids on my website. It's a work in progress, so be kind. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think. I've updated some of the rest of the site too. 4 comments

Kim, I am heading right over to your web site now to read a bit of "The Church of the Old Mermaids" and am looking forward to it.

I have just finished "Mercy, Unbound", and it was a remarkable reading experience. Absolutely wonderful and well done!

Oh Kim, thank for the comment about the poppy . I have just read the posted pages of "The Church of the Old Mermaids" at your web site, and I am more than a little in love myself.

Oh goodie! Can never have too much falling in love. I'm in love with the big old oak tree who swayed in the wind when I first got home. I'm in love with the bush beans that pushed up through the earth while I was away. I'm in love with the yellow irises blooming in the front of my yard that got fried by the sun today. Which reminds me, I better go water or my garden will not love me much...
