In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

No More

I guess we won't be shopping at Whole Foods any more. Sounds like the CEO ain't my kind of peeps. Not that we shop there often. I'll have to check the story out a bit more. 2 comments

All I know about Whole Foods is from a few of my students who were trying to put themselves through community college working there: they called it fascist coporate hell fattening the company on the backs of the employees. The union-busting thing is the understatement of the century, apparently. One of my English 101 guys wrote his research paper on their 'policies' - identical to Wal-Mart on practice, just made Trustifarian-friendly in affect (and a lot more expensive).

Depressing, isn't it?

CSA's seem the way to go to me, too, lately.

Wow! I feel so ignorant. Just made me shudder to hear all this. Very depressing. Why can't people just act right! Geez freaking Louise.
