In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

"I want to do that!"

I love reading the livejournals, the greatestjournals, the myspaces: I love reading everywhere that readers are talking about Mercy, Unbound. Mario found one "review" on Miss Ang & Her Muses. S/he describes a scene in the book where one of the girls in the eating disorder clinic stands in the middle of the room and screams. Reading her description of a scene I wrote brought tears to my eyes! At the end of her post, the writer says, "I want to do that." I say, "You go! I'll be one of the ones standing in a circle around you."

Thank you, Miss Ang & Her Muses and all of the readers of Mercy, Unbound. I love that you love her. 0 comments
