In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Have a Fuschia Morning

Fuschia

I loved the foxglove morning, but fuschia morning is good, too. I was on the ground for this photograph. So even though it isn't quite as sharp as some pics, I have fond memories of rolling around on the grass to get beneath this beautiful fleur and look up inside it. So beautiful. 3 comments

My word, what would life be like without colour like this? It sings, it dances, it glows and it soars like a slow circling hawk in the summer dawn. The photo and the accompanying words make me feel like dancing and soaring myself - no mean feat as it is Monday morning and I have not inhaled my first caffeine of the day. Magnifico!

As a photographer myself, I am in awe of your photos, dear Kim. Your artist's eye is perfection and your camera's lens a wonder to behold. Could you please give me info on what kind of camera you are using?

Thank you both!!!

I use a Pentax. Last year we retired our Pentax 1000 and got a Pentax Digital SLR--our first digital and first automatic. For the close-ups, I use a macro. It's from the old camera, so it's not automatic. That's one thing about the Pentax that's great; you can use your old lenses on them. I love Pentax. I love this camera.
