In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

ZZZZZ Nyet

I've lost count. How many days and nights have I been awake now? This is very strange. I'm so exhausted. Might have to cancel Hilaria Day. Yes, that's my biggest worry right now, besides wondering how long it takes to go crazy when you haven't slept. And by you I mean me. Since I'm already half way to crazy normally, I might arrive there soon. 2 comments

Hey, maybe you just need to be awake now for some reason. Accept it. Write or read or do whatever you feel like, so long as it doesn't involve dangerous machinery or doing anything that someone who's drunk or high shouldn't do. Not that you're drunk or high; you've simply been awake for a long time. Experience it, and avoid things like caffeine that might extend it, and let it pass when it's ready.

Yes, that's very good advice, Will. I was too delirious to give it to myself. The first night I wrote. The second night I rewrote. And then I just wanted to sleep. I got a bit last night. I asked my dad today how he deals with the stress when there's so much familial illness and distress. He said he puts one foot in front of the other. I said, "Okay, and if you can't sleep?" "Crossword puzzles and reruns." Good advice too. You are both wise men.
