In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

On the Road Again...Maybe

OK. They've opened up the highway. We had our own little community for a while in and around the Comfort Inn. People came in with stories of cars all over the freeway. "It's just terrible going south," some would say. "It's just terrible going north," others said. The hotel let us rent rooms and as long as we didn't use them, they said they'd refund our money if the roads opened up. I thought that was very kind. Mario is driving now. We're in stop 'n go traffic in this tiny town, everyone trying to get on the freeway. We're letting cars in. We're all in this together, after all. Today some guy in a white pickup gave us the finger. Have no idea why. We're driving on I5 with hardly anyone in sight and this guy gave us the finger. Very strange.

Oh by the way, our car is giving us trouble. Did I mention that? We took it to Vancouver Honda for a check-up before we left. Paid lots of money. And lookee here we are in the middle of nowhere, and it’s not working right. Not sure what we’re going to do. Soooo.....oooooeeeeee ain’t we havin’ fun!

My connection is going here. Isn't this a grand adventure? Wish us safety! 0 comments
