In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Call Your Senators Now! 

The Senate is poised to reauthorize the repulsive Patriot Act (the reauthorization is temporarily on hold at this moment I believe), and this "new" one appears to be worse than the old one: no sunset provision, among other things. A bipartisan filibuster is in the works. Call your Senators. Encourage them to vote against the reauthorization. Encourage them to support the filibuster.
