In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Stupid Design 

I'm sure you heard that eight incumbent school board members who wanted Stupid Design taught in the schools as science were ousted by pro-science candidates. Good for Dover! As I've said before I've got some problems with some elements of evolution but it's not because I believe the world was created in seven days. Most scientific theories have got some problems. This kind of crap just makes the U.S. look stupid. They can teach Stupid Design in comparative religion or in a mythology class with all the other creation myths but not in science class.

And speaking of stupid, Kansas Board of Education has now approved Stupid Design for their science curriculum. Now tell me why Dorothy wanted to get back home to Kansas?

It's cold and rainy here, and I've been sicker than a dog for a day, but Mario is home, so we'll try to have some fun. You too.
