In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

"Storm Poet" on Newstands Now!

The January issue of Asimov's is now available at newstands and bookstores. In it, you can find my short story "Storm Poet" which has already garnered a good review. This story was inspired by my grandfather and his stepfather. My grandfather bailed his stepdad out of jail at least once. His stepfather ran a Blind Pig in Wayne, Michigan, where he gave liquor to inmates from a nearby mental institution in exchange for the lumber they stole from a nearby construction site.

Yep. That's for real. I've even got the newspaper articles about it. 2 comments

Holy crap. I saw your post in Will's journal and did a double take at your name.
I picked up the Jigsaw Woman at the library on a whim years ago and I liked it so much I read it three times before I returned it.

I love the internet, it makes you run across such interesting people.
