In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Rules of Da Blame Game

We knew it was coming, didn't we? The Emperor and his evil fashionistas are trying to figure out a way to blame the levee breaks on the environmentalists. This saddens me. (Actually, it really pisses me off.) I had the impossible hope that officials might try to work with environmentalists to rebuild in an ecologically sound manner. Because any of us with some brain cells left know that if NOLA had some decent wetlands, these said wetlands would have absorbed much of the storm surge. But the truth is that the Bushies and the petrochemical industry (which pretty much owns Louisiana) don't give a shit whether New Orleans is rebuilt or not. They don't care if people live there or not. As long as they have enough people to work in their oily businesses, they're happy as toxic little clams. They don't want any environmentalists screwing up their riches. What can we do to stop their evil schemes? You got any ideas? 0 comments
