In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Perspective 

This is what Mario said about the delay in getting help to New Orleans. And I'm paraphrasing. Homeland Security is supposed to be preparing for a terrorist attack. A terrorist attack would come without warning. They supposedly have been preparing to mobilize IMMEDIATELY after an attack. That's what Homeland Security is supposed to do. That's what we've been paying for. It has taken five days for the government to mobilize AFTER this catastrophe—and they actually had notice of a disaster. I just heard one of the reporters say that it's August and a lot of people are on vacation. Oh, okay. THAT'S a good excuse. I imagine the terrorists are taking note of that.
