In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

New Orleans Blogs

Well, I guess the Big Easy priestesses and priests can keep their Voudon creds. As I predicted (and hoped) the storm jogged away from New Orleans, plus it decreased in intensity. Yes, this hurricane is still devastating, but New Orleans will not have near the damage they were predicting. Of course, let's see how bad the cleanup will be.

Here's a place to find some New Orleans blogs. Brian Williams from NBC (yes, I'm actually linking to MSNBC) is in the Superdome. Silly, maybe, but it's interesting to hear from someone who is there. Much less silly than those idiots news people standing outside in the wind. 0 comments
