In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Katrina Websites (Updated 10:30 p.m. PST) 

Here's a New Orleans webcam site. As of now, if you click on the BridgeCam or QuarterCam, you can see parts of the city live. This is the weather alert for the area. Scary stuff. The NOLA hurricane center has a lot of good links and info. And weather.com has primo information. They even have a blog. National Geographic had an article about a devastating hurricane in New Orleans and what it would do to the coast and wetland in the October 2004 issue. Here's a bit of it.
