In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Chavez Offers Cheap Gas 

Venezuelan Prez Hugo Chavez has offered poor Americans cheap gas. Castro and Chavez have also offered to train American doctors to treat the poor in the United States. I love this shit. I've been telling you about Chavez for a while now. As I've said, I haven't done any investigating myself, so I don't know if he's a good guy or a bad guy, but if Pat Robertson wants to kill him, my guess is he ain't a bad guy. I enjoy Chavez thumbing his nose at the United States. I hope he doesn't piss off the Emperor's tailors too much. No telling what they'll do to him. Remember what happened to Allende. (It's interesting to note that Allende has a daughter Isabel Allende, who is a politician, and his niece is Isabel Allende, the novelist. I knew about Isabel the novelist but did not know, before just this minute, that he had a daughter with the same name. OK. It's 4:00 a.m.; anything looks interesting.)
