In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Technical Stuff

Please ignore this post if you really don't care. When I read this kind of stuff on websites, every part of my body glazes over....On the flush right thing: Some very nice people on bloggerforum.com looked at the template to Furious Spinner and have concluded it is seriously screwed up. Now, I'm a writer, not a html doctor, so I don't fix those kinds of things unless they're easy. I just look at other page sources and paste the html codes in when I want to make a change. I like the Split pea template which I'm using, but it's no longer available so I can't just get a new one. I like it because it doesn't have a white background and it has larger font size; this helps readability. None of the readily available templates have that. Yes, I know I could do a little fiddling on another template and fix this stuff, but I don't feel like it. I don't want my energy going to web design right now. So, to make a long story longer, for now, I'm sticking with this template. It works in Firefox, Safari, and some versions of Internet Explorer. If you are a regular reader to Furious Spinner and it's flushing right and impairing the readability, please let me know. If it's bothering enough people, I'll figure something else out. (By the way, if you're using Safari and FS is a skinny column on the right hand side, you just need to update your Safari and that will fix it.)

We now return to our regularly scheduled broadcast... 1 comments

I use Internet Explorer 6.0 and I'm back to flush left again. I like FS in its current template so I agree -- if it ain't broke don't fix it. If it breaks see if you can find someone who will fix it for you.
