In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

CNN Will NOT Broadcast Conyers Hearing

So it won't surprise you that CNN is not going to broadcast the Conyers Downing Street Memo hearings live. In fact, they are going to tape it and show bits of it on Inside Politics. (Does anyone wonder why Judy Woodruff is leaving—or is she gone already?) Speaking of Judy Woodruff, apparently the right-wingers hate her. Geez, is it because she was a good journalist? After twelve years on CNN, I wonder if she still is a good journalist? CNN says (I called them—even though I don't have TV and couldn't watch it anyway) they'll tape the Conyers hearing and then talk about it on Inside Politics. I said, "So in other words, you're not going to broadcast this news event because you aren't really a news outlet." I was polite because the poor girl on the phone probably doesn't know nothing about nothing. I bet if some celebrity was talking about whether or not s/he did X or Y, they'd cover it.

It's disgusting.

And now I shall stop ranting about it. I've got a novel to write, joy to experience, and a garden to replant. (Global warming, you know.)

I would have been shocked if it would have been forcast. The government has the power to only let the news that is favorable or distractable to be heard. It is sad, but that is reality. They have that power. I consider them (the government) thieves. They steal our freedom, our everything. They are becoming stronger and it is frightening. It continues to worsen everyday.
