In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

A River of Bowls

Normally in the late spring and summer I do little writing. I mostly take photos and hike. But developing the film got so pricey, plus I had stacks of photos that were just taking up space, so I didn't do much last summer. After twenty years, Mario and I decided to get a new camera. We found a digital SLR that will let us use the old lenses from our beloved Pentax K1000, and Mac's iPhoto makes things so easy to download. We don't have all the kinks worked out yet, but I'll post a few photos we took tonight. I say "we" because it was a collaborative effort. You won't be surprised that we took some pictures of my bowls on our Rio Grand table.

This first one we call "Anticipation."

The rest of them we called "A River of Bowls." Enjoy!
