The Furious Spinner

I like taking photographs of the same spot. I did this one year at a small park. All year long, I took photographs of a path leading into the woods. I like watching the progression. This morning I picked our kitchen again. A few years ago, a friend gave me a window from a house that was torn down. I kept it, for some strange reason, until last year when I cleaned it up. I wanted to do something with it, but I didn't know what. One of my favorite paintings is "Blue River" by Georgia O'Keeffe. I bought a copy of it and it fit exactly inside the old window. Now I can look out and see New Mexico any time I want. The "real" window looks out on my garden. I was the only person in the house for most of the day, so I used myself as part of the photographs. You might notice I have on a lot of different clothes during such a short time (half a day). Temperature varies widely at this time of year, so first I'm cold and then I'm too hot, or I've got to walk to the library or I'm going to work in the garden, etc. I don't have a lot of clothes, but I do change my clothes many times a day.

I know this was nearly a yr ago, but as you know I've only recently acquired a working pc. AND I LOVED THESE PHOTOS! They took me away from my everyday life, and into a window(pun intended)oif yours.
