In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Holy Shit! 

They just elected as pope the man who revived the office of the inquisition. They elected the Chief of the Office of Inquisition (now know as something else) as pope. Need I say more? Well, maybe one more thing. Mario asked me what does this mean? I said, "It means Mel Gibson is jumping up and down in happiness." "Now that says it all."
