In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Heart Beats

So many of you have been asking about my mother, and I thank you. It has been a strange process, which I'm sure some of you have been through, given the state of medical care in this country. (Where is that state, anyway?) As I told you, they canceled the operation last Wednesday, just hours before it was scheduled because they didn't have an operating room. They rescheduled for five days later, and my mother had a medical problem, so they rescheduled again for tomorrow. Well, my mother canceled this time. I think they were all psyched for the operation last week and when the doctor canceled, my mother lost heart, as it were, and just couldn't get up the energy to do it. We'll see what happens next. I appreciate your good thoughts for her. I can only hope this is for the best. Blessed be. 0 comments
