In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Pentagon Email Warning? 

Time.com has published an email(POPUP) supposedly coming from the Office of the Under Secretary of the Defense telling(POPUP) military personnel not to read what is being called the Taguba Report about the abuses of prisoners at Abu Ghraib Prison. The email specifically mentions Faux News; this mention sent up a red flag for me since I didn't even know the report was on Faux News. (So the email seemed almost like an advertisement to get all these people to go to Faux News and download this report—a reverse psychology thing.) We downloaded a copy(PDF) of the report from NPR, although I haven't had a chance to read it yet. On the first page it reads, "ARTICLE 15-6 INVESTIGATION OF THE 800TH MILITARY POLICE BRIGADE. SECRET/NO FOREIGN DISSEMINATION."

I wondered, "If it's secret, how come I've got a copy of it?"

I haven't been able to verify if warning email is a legitimate email from the Office of the Under Secretary. I'm suspicious of it because of the Faux News reference and because they misspell Taguba's name. We'll see.
