In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Look to This Day...

Look to this day for it is life,
the very life of life.
Yesterday is but a dream,
and tomorrow is only a vision,
but today well spent makes every yesterday
a dream of happiness,
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
—from Sanskrit Salutation to the dawn

To live sacred lives
requires that we live
at the edge of what
we do not know.
Anne Hillman

...in precious moments I have felt what it means to be wild and free.
—Susanna Moodie

I pledge allegiance to the Earth,
and to the flora, fauna
and human life that she supports,
one planet, indivisible,
with safe air, water and soil,
economic justice, equal rights
and peace for all
Women's Environment and Development Organization

We have the same
oceans in our veins,
are sisters to the trees
and rocks and stars,
hold their identical
minerals in our bones.
One family.
