In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Amnesty International Report 

Have you heard what Amnesty says about the U.S.? Not pretty. Amnesty said, among other things, "The global security agenda promulgated by the US administration is bankrupt of vision and bereft of principle....Sacrificing human rights in the name of security at home, turning a blind eye to abuses abroad and using pre-emptive military force where and when it chooses have neither increased security nor ensured liberty." Here's the annual report.
