In times of old, The Furies protected Mother Right. If a mother (or any woman) was harmed, The Furies swooped down and took their vengeance. They were one of the last vestiges of a world that existed before the patriarchy. When we feel righteous anger, it is The Furies who are calling out to us to make what is wrong right again.

Photos of the Dead 

Do you remember the photos of the flag-draped coffins I showed you the other day? Mario wondered how they had gotten the photographs since the taking of such photos was banned by the Bush Administration. (Actually the ban dates from the Clinton Administration but was apparently ignored back then.) So he looked around and found out that the The Memory Hole, an internet website, filed a Freedom of Information Act request to get the photos. It was relatively simple. So why haven't any of the big news agencies done the same thing?
